Day 30, 2nd May, Alexandropolis

A relaxing day apart from a tiring walk into Alexandropolis centre in a fruitless search for camping gas (couldn’t find), the post office (which shuts at 2 pm on Wednesdays) and a laundry which we found. Met two lovely people in the morning, Kevin and Fiona from Oban who are living in their super-huge camper for two years!!!!! and touring the world. Like us they are travellers with a healthy contempt for the selfie-stick people.

In the afternoon, Dave from Much Wenlock approached us and asked if we had an adaptor which we had, and we lent it to him. We also mentioned the camping gas problem and by one of those bizarre flukes that we seem to be enjoying he had a spare canister of exactly the same type. Bought it from him. He and his friend (another Dave) from Birmingham have left their wives behind and are enjoying themselves travelling.

So ready to set off for Istanbul fully prepared.
Alexandropolis camp site is brilliant and the food at the little restaurant was delicious and cheap and we went again but, sadly, no Greek singers this evening.
